The State Aid provided to public schools for educating a student for the full school year is based on Average Daily Membership (ADM) calculated through the first 100 instruction days of enrollment. Prior to the start of this program, public schools would lose a portion of ADM for students who graduated at least one semester early. This program intends to provide an incentive to students to graduate early by offering a scholarship grant for eligible graduates. Additionally public schools will no longer lose the remaining ADM for early graduates since those students will be included in the funding count until the cohort graduates.
